This adorable lamb cake is perfect for birthdays or Easter or baby showers.

Little Lamb Cake

Happy 1st Birthday to my beautiful niece, Sarah! She is crazy in love with her lamb dolls so my mom (aka grandma) did not disappoint when she made this cake for the special occasion. The cake base was for all the guests, and the little lamb sitting on top was specially made with the intention of it getting picked up and hugged and eaten, which it was! Monster Jam Cake

Monster Jam Cake

For the monster truck fanatic in your life, create the perfect birthday cake that looks like Monster Jam! My brother in law put this cake together for their little boy’s 2nd birthday. My nephew even played with the trucks on the track before they cut it up. Perfect for people who dont want to fuss with smoothing frosting or creating detailed flowers. You won’t need any special cake equipment, but you do need to find the materials to help make it more realistic (the trucks and the flags, etc.).

Cat in the Hat

Cat in the Hat

My son turned one year old last week, the time really does just fly by I can’t believe he is a toddler now! He always enjoys being read to and some of his favorite books are the Dr. Seuss books. So for his birthday cake I went with a Cat in the Hat theme complete with the hat, Things 1 & 2 and their kites, and the fish in the teapot. Since the party was small, not a lot of cake was needed, so the hat is made of Styrofoam. My mom helped me with the hat since she knows how to cut and mold Styrofoam. Then we made the characters a few days early. So on the day of the party only the bottom cake and the teapot needed to be made. The party was held outside at the park on a very very windy day, and the cake held up perfectly fine… phew!
