Rocket Ship Sandwich
This rocket ship sandwich idea was inspired by a blog called Little Food Junction, and turned out to be an awesome project to do with my toddler. Replace the boring PB&J, take just a few more minutes of your time to prepare and slice the ingredients, then invite your little one into the kitchen to help you put together something exciting to eat for lunch. Use honey and peanut butter to serve as glue for the fruit. All the unused fruit became fruit salad for my husband and I.

Pizza Boy
While I was getting dinner started yesterday, my 2 year old son asked me if he could play with the pizza dough, I realize he thought it was play dough! So, I thought, well why not? And so, pizza boy was created.
After baking, yummy
I flipped a cereal bowl upside down onto the rolled out dough, then using a knife, cut around the bowl to make a nice circle for the face.
Brushed the dough with melted olive oil and chopped garlic (I microwave the oil and garlic for about 1 minute to soften the garlic a bit and flavor the oil). Then added some chopped basil, cherry tomatoes, olives, with plenty of mozzarella cheese.
My son was giggling and participating in the whole process. He was so excited while waiting for “pizza boy” to cook in the oven (about 10-12 min @ 350). He ate everything, narrating exactly what part of the face he was about to eat. Talk about making dinner fun!
Monster Jam Cake
For the monster truck fanatic in your life, create the perfect birthday cake that looks like Monster Jam! My brother in law put this cake together for their little boy’s 2nd birthday. My nephew even played with the trucks on the track before they cut it up. Perfect for people who dont want to fuss with smoothing frosting or creating detailed flowers. You won’t need any special cake equipment, but you do need to find the materials to help make it more realistic (the trucks and the flags, etc.).
