Strawberries n Cream Pops

Strawberries n Cream Ice Cream Pop
I finally figured out what to do with left over home made ice cream.

Popsicle… uh… ize them.

We have an easy to use, easy to clean Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker. It takes about 5 minutes to stir up the cream mixture. Then, while we eat dinner, the ice cream machine is in the kitchen working hard for us. Churning out a delicious cold and creamy quality dessert.

Storing the left over ice cream into popsicle molds creates single servings for the week, not to mention they freeze well without being frost bitten. Perfect storing solution!

When I was a kid, we had big summer family reunions at the lake with the entire extended family. With all those extra hands it was easy to make home made ice cream the old fashioned way; in a wooden bucket that required lots of ice, salt and man power. We all took turns churning the ice cream, especially the kids. In the end we would each get a SINGLE spoonful of ice cream. Yep, those were the days.

But I suppose thats why my favorite home made ice cream is this simple fresh strawberry vanilla ice cream. It’s the same flavor we made every year during those family reunions.
